Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a 6000 year old art which uses certain points on the body to balance energies and either stimulate or sedate individual nerves or organs. This well proven method of treating the cause of pain or disease forms a major part of treatment programs, using laser, electro, disposable needles and moxibustion.

Acupressure
This incorporates working on the tsubo (finger pressure) points as in shiatsu, with other oriental techniques which work on the meridians to bring about a balance between yin and yang. This helps the flow of energy, encouraging the body to balance and normalise, and is useful for a wide range of health problems.

Alexander Technique

The Alexander Technique is re-education of body/mind - a way of recovering the lightness, grace and co-ordination of the natural self when disrupted or lost. The technique is particularly sought after for rehabilitation and re-establishing free movement and skill in action, correction of physical posture, releasing muscular tension and especially for relaxation and the elimination of stresses that have become habitual and are undermining our well being.

Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is defined as the controlled use of essential oils in a positive way to maintain good health and revitalise the body, mind and spirit. Essential oils are defined as the volatile aromatic principles contained in plants which are extracted by various methods. For therapeutic applications, NO synthetic substances (e.g. fragrance oils) are used - only 100% plant based essences. Aromatherapy today is the marriage between an ancient art form employed by the oldest civilisations known to us, and modern science involving oils and their effects - and the body's response to them.

Art Therapy
Gently empowering, sometimes challenging form of psychotherapy which actively and creatively engages you in exploring and developing your inner world and beyond. No artistic skill required.

Ayurveda is the oldest, most complete system of natural health care know to mankind. It recognises that three basic principles (Doshas) which make up a unique mind/body type for every individual. These Doshas are known as Vata, Piutta and Kapha and their balance determines our state of health. A qualified practiioner is able to assess this balance through a sophisticated process of pulse diagnosis (Nadi Vigyan).
Ayurveda puts focus on the patient, not the disease. Understanding of the patient's mind/body type is essential to diagnosis and treatment, and special emphasis is placed on the therapeutic effects of diet and healthy digestion, as well as techniques to balance behaviour and emotions. Consciousness is considered to be of primary importance in maintaining optimum health and meditation techniques are emphasised to develop integrated holistic functioning of the nervous system.

Beauty therapies include: nail art, facials, pedicures, manicures, massage, body wraps, waxing, and much more. Beauty therapies vary in technique, setting, and length of treatment.

Bioresonance Therapy
Bioresonance Therapy works through the body's energetic system. All cells emit weak electromagnetic waves similar to brain waves. BICOM therapy uses these plus those waves of substances (foods, bacteria, etc.) for therapy. It separates these waves into healthy and unhealthy components. The healthy waves are boosted and returned to the patient to strengthen normal functions. The unhealthy are only returned after being inverted, thus cancelling their effect in the body. With a food allergy, eliminating the unhealthy response means the patient can eat the food without suffering any allergic symptoms. For a virus, such as Ross River Fever, however, the whole signal is cancelled and symptoms such as joint pain and chronic tiredness diminish. We test for a reaction by using EAP (electronic Accupressure, using traditional Meridian & EAV, using the Voll meridians) to test the body for strains due to substances and regulation readings as for Hormones etc.

Biofeedback

Biofeedback therapy is now more accurate with the assistance of the new SCIO Biofeedback device. The main premises of Biofeedback therapy are that the body is electrical in nature, that it has the ability to heal itself if the right conditions or stimuli are provided, and that as the client becomes more aware of that which has been unknown to them, they can make changes to improve their wellness. Biofeedback is a TGA approved module for stress reduction and relaxation and as such, has a role to play in eliminating the barriers to good health and does this by targeting very specific stressors it detects in the body and its electrical field. Biofeedback therapy can assist to balance or harmonise any aberrant frequency. People suffering from the following conditions often respond well to stress reduction with Biofeedback therapy. Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) - Insomnia - Physical Injuries - Learning Disabilities - Hypertension Headaches - Migraine - Addictions - Weight loss - Chronic Pain - Infections - Chronic Fatigue - Arthritis Depression - Immune disorders - Anxiety - Eating disorders - Neuralgia - Incontinence.

Breathwork
Breathwork is one of the most powerful transformative tools we have to access our essential nature and develop our true potential. The use of Conscious, Connected Breathing supports us to clear unresolved issues, dissolve limiting beliefs and free ourselves from the unhealthy hold that some past events have on our lives. Breathwork guides the unfolding of our full potential generating a feeling of aliveness and sense of inspiration as we move towards fulfilling our dreams. Breathwork is very much client focused. The client learns experientially about the unique interaction of the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels of being, and how they themselves, through awareness and experience of the Breath, can bring themselves into balance and create a sense of well being. A Breathwork practitioner brings to their practice a distinctive approach developed through their own personal and inner journey with the Breath, as well as empathy for the range of experience that clients will have.

Chakradance™
Chakradance™ was created by Natalie Southgate in 1998. This healing form of dance concentrates on personal experience rather than on performance. Participants are guided by music to tune in to the 7 Chakras - potent energy centres that lie between the base of the spine and the crown of the head which in Eastern tradition are believed to be the gateways between mind body and spirit. Each Chakra is related to a different aspect of our life, resonates to a different sound and holds a specific colour. By moving through the Chakras with the aid of music participants will feel different sensations, feelings and emotions at each Chakra and can express these in dance, thus the movement is guided from the inside out. Everybody is different so in a Chakradance™ session everyone dances differently as well!

Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) originated in China over 3,500 years ago, making it a truly ancient way of healing. Different methods are used during treatment to bring the body to balance. These include: acupuncture which works on the meridians (ear & body), cupping which is used to move blood & qi (energy) and to remove stagnations, and moxibustion which involves lighting a mugwort herbal stick and using it as a warming treatment. These techniques are helpful in correcting back and neck problems, allergies, dyslexia, co-ordination, learning difficulties, emotional stress, structural problems, sporting injuries and nutritional imbalances.

Kinergetics
Kinergetics is a form of kinesiology, one of the fastest growing streams of natural and alternative therapies worldwide. Kinesiology has a strong background in two other major natural therapy traditions: Chiropractice and Traditional Chinese Medicine. From these it draws understandings about musculature and energy flows which help a practitioner to identify root causes of weakness, stress and illness. A therapist uses an indicator muscle on the client's body to identify these root causes, any of which may reside in an individual's physical system (their skeletal, muscular, nervous, immune, digestive, reproductive, respiratory and skin systems), or their mental/emotional system (which include areas such as their beliefs, fears, anxieties and memories). The muscles yield up valuable information in a form of biofeedback between client and therapist. Once problem areas have been identified, the only correction or intervention necessary is healing energy. Kinesiology's overwhelming emphasis is on the reintegration of body and mind that allows our bodies to heal naturally. It is a fast, simple and effective method of releasing pain, dispelling stress, and locating and correcting some of the emotional and metaphysical causes of disease.

Lymph nodes are located around the body (neck, groin, armpits etc) and are connected by a series of vessels that transport waste out of the body. As muscle movement is required in order for the vessels to transport the liquid waste out of the body, Lymphatic Drainage expedites this process by providing a gentle whole body treatment that works the muscle groups and stimulates the Lymphatic system, bolstering the immune system. Lymphatic Drainage is hugely beneficial for persons suffering from colds and flus, and for persons getting over or fighting illnesses.

The Myopractic school of thought stipulates that where there is joint, bone, or skeletal pain in general, there is one muscle, or muscle group, responsible. After posture analysis and patient assessment deep tissue work will ensue with the purpose of restoring balance and function to the offending muscle group, therefore easing the original complaint of pain or malfunction.

NAET

Natural Fertility Management
Natural Fertility Management, (NFM), is a system of thought, education and training that allows women to have greater control over their fertility and reproductive systems through natural and holistic means. NFM trains women to hone their senses in becoming aware of their body's cycles, systems and sensations: their cervical muscles, their banal temperatures, and their lunar cycles to mention a few. Through mastering the recognition and understanding of the aforementioned, women can more accurately manage their fertility. NFM is used both as a means of decreasing the likelihood of fertilisation (approx. 97% successful when practiced correctly) or to enhance fertility. NFM presents a way for women to control their reproduction without the use of pharmaceuticals or hormone treatments (i.e. hormonal birth control), both of which often have negative side affects.

Naturopathy
The Naturopath deals with internal health problems, metabolic disorders and imbalances, through treatment of the whole person. In general, a wide range of diagnostic techniques are employed to assess causative factors, and treatment may involve dietary changes, herbal medicines, bodywork or nutritional supplements.

Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)
Neuro Linguistic Programming is a dynamic model of behavioural excellence. NLP pioneers, Richard Bandler and John Grinder, studied people who possessed and demonstrated excellence. By observing language structure, external physiological changes (voice tone, pupil size, breathing rate, etc.) and internal activity (internal dialogue, thought processes, etc.) they were able to map the processes, structuring them to be easily learnt and adopted. NLP has had proven effectiveness working with phobias, addictive behaviours, education and family and team dynamics.

NeuroSkeletal Therapy (NST)
NeuroSkeletal Therapy (NST) is a relatively new kinaesthetic modality developed in Australia based on early American Osteopathy. NST is slowly spreading around Australia and the world, even being taught at the Morley College in London. NST realigns the whole skeleton - axial and appendicular, TMJ and cranial bones without any force ormanipulation being applied by the practitioner. NST is permanent, safe for all ages, non-invasive, gentle in application and easy to learn. It works by digital activation of an innovative set of neurolymphatic reflexes that send neural impulses to the brain via the central nervous system. The brain processes these signals homeostatically and then sends motor signals via mechanoreceptors to the muscles which in turn, gently move the bones and joints back into proper alignment. Research has been conducted into the way NST works at the University of South Carolina (USA), University of York (UK) and the University of Adelaide (Aust.)

Pilates
Pilates focusses on the core strength of the body to improve the stabalising muscles for sitting walking and moving in general. It is low impact and can include the use of machines to enhance a stronger more flexible body.Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th Century. It is a corrective system of exercising that focuses on the core muscles in the body - this helps to strengthen the spine and align the body. By strengthening the core muscles of the torso, back pain and other ailments can be alleviated. Pilates uses the breath and body awareness while doing exercises to build strength and stamina, lengthen muscles and increase vitality. Pilates can be taught in groups or one-on-one.

Polarity Therapy
Polarity Therapy is a powerful holistic healing system combining some of the world's most ancient medical wisdom with the most modern advances in health care. Current research demonstrates that electromagnetic forces are the foundation of life, documenting what the ancients said about life energy, chi, or prana. This life energy weaves the fabric of our beings, creating the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual dimensions in life. Disease, pain and stress are the results of underlying energy imbalances. Polarity Therapy improves the flow of energy in our bodies, bringing greater balance to the whole system. A Polarity Therapy practitioner can work with clients to help facilitate deep changes that increase well-being. Polarity Therapy is an integrated system that utilizes bodywork, awareness counselling, diet, and exercise as parts of a comprehensive approach to healing. Polarity Therapy bodywork is energy-based, similar to acupressure, Reiki, healing touch, and therapeutic touch, yet it is more detailed than these other approaches. The details of Polarity Therapy create greater precision in the therapeutic process, which allows energy-based healing to be very specific. This non-invasive bodywork balances the body's energy fields and currents. Balancing the life energy encourages healing of the body's tissues, organs, and systems, while integrating the emotions, mind, and spirit.

PSYCH-K
PSYCH-K is a non-invasive, interactive process of change. It is a simple, yet powerful technique to change self-sabotaging subconscious beliefs. PSYCH-K is derived from scientific research in brain dominance theory as well as ancient mind/body/spirit wisdom. It is process that transcends the standard methods of visualisation, affirmations, will power and positive thinking and is especially effective in the areas of behavioural/habit change, wellness and stress reduction.

Psychotherapy
Traditionally Psychotherapy is the treatment of mental and emotional issues psychologically rather than physically. A session usually involves a series of appointments where the client talks with a trained mental health professional one-on-one or in a small group. Psychotherapy can help with depression, relationship issues and negative behaviour patterns as well as many other issues, problems or challenges.

Pranic Healing
The science of Pranic Healing has existed for centuries, founded on the idea that imbalances within a person's energy field or aura are attributed to physical emotional and psychological ailments. Cleansing and removing the congested energy, which we all accumulate throughout life, can assist in the treatment of a wide range of ailments including stress, back pain, high blood pressure, depression cancer and other life threatening ailments. It can also be used as a wellness program. Pranic Healing is a no touch modality where the practitioner works over the energy centres within the energy field.

Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy encompasses a wide variety of humanistic and psychoanalytic approaches, theories and practices. Work may be with individuals, couples, families or groups. These broadly related, typically interactive approaches may engage the modalities of thought, feeling and spirituality. Enhancement of insight and awareness are sought and encouraged. The focus is upon the discovery of meaning through exposing patterns, personal metaphors, myths and stories with a view to individuals coming to a fuller comprehension of fundamental questions of identity, relationship and direction. Life may then be lived more zestfully and authentically (more in touch with one's self).

Qi Gong/Chi-Kung
Qi Gong/Chi-Kung is an ancient Chinese health and healing system that believes in harmonising/balancing the body, mind and spirit by cultivating 'life/vital energy' or 'qi/chi' through breathing exercises, simple movement and meditation. It has a remarkably positive effect on health (mental and physical) and can help achieve optimum health, prevent disease, increase vitality, reduce pain, slow aging, gain mental clarity, a calm mind and tranquillity.. The regular practise of Qi Gong/Chi-Kung exercises allow us to increase and gain control over qi/chi, the live/vital energy coursing through invisible channels (acupuncture channels/meridians) in our body. It is the maintenance of the smooth flow and balanced distribution of qi/chi that guarantees optimum health and a sense of well-being.

Quantum Touch
Quantum-Touch is an energy healing modality that applies the principles of resonance and entrainment to facilitate healing. Practitioners learn to focus and amplify life-force energy (known as 'chi' in Chinese and 'prana' in Sanskrit) by combining various breathing and body awareness exercises.  When the practitioner resonates at a high frequency, the client often entrains to, or matches, the higher frequency, thereby facilitating healing using the body's biological intelligence. Life-force energy affects matter on the quantum, subatomic level and works its way up through atoms, molecules, cells, tissues, and structure.

Raindrop Technique®
Imagine the sensation of sinking into a deep and blissful state of rest, as someone performs the ancient Tibetan version of reflexology on your feet. As you slowly (even reluctantly) come back to your body and roll over, you experience the gentle splashes as therapeutic grade essential oils are applied like drops of rain up your spine and to your tired muscles. These oils are then 'feathered in' using a spine-tingling technique inspired by the Native Americans, combined with deeply relaxing and revitalizing massage techniques. You can’t get more pampered than this!

Rebirthing
Rebirthing is intuitive breathwork done with a qualified, trained Rebirther, a professional who has studied the breath and its effects who is there to guide and assist with your breathing. The major benefit to Rebirthing is that your breath is always accessible to you. You can then use it to heal psychological conditions that are causing any negative emotional situations in your life. You can heal your body by breathing out toxins and stress, immeasurably increasing your physical comfort and pleasure. You will gain an increased awareness of yourself in present time by focusing on your breath because your present time awareness expands to include all of you.

Reconnective Healing
What is The Reconnection? Simply put, The Reconnection is the process of reconnecting to the universe that allows for healing on all levels to take place. The healings of The Reconnection and the frequencies on which they travel are of a new bandwidth, brought in via a spectrum of light and information that has never before been present on Earth. 'It isn’t mind over matter or conscious hypnosis. Something real happens during a Reconnective Healing session,' Dr. Pearl says. 'There is a vibration of truth when I get the answers and I simply know it to be.' During a Reconnective Healing session, the patient/client lies on a massage table, often with their shoes off for comfort. The practitioner holds their hands anywhere from six inches to six feet away from the patient, during which time they may begin to experience very obvious, palpable sensations.

Reflexology
Reflexology is a gentle form of healing done by applying alternating pressure to reflex points on hands, feet or ears which correspond to the organs of the body. Any soreness found can be an indication that the organ 'reflected' by that particular point is not functioning fully and continued stimulation for a short time seems to produce improvement. This work is done in an holistic way, that is, by working the whole of both feet or hands so that the whole of the body is stimulated. Sometimes when working on the feet there can be an immediate and dramatic change and at other times not, but overall there may be just a feeling of well-being at all levels.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese word representing Universal Life Energy. When activated and applied for purposes of healing, Reiki addresses mind, body and spirit. It accelerates the body's abilities to heal physical ailments, and opens the mind and the spirit to the causes of disease and pain, the necessity for taking responsibility for one's life, and the joys of balanced wellness. The essence of Reiki helps fill - in individuals and society - the need to be in balance and harmony with the Universal Life Force. Reiki is a simple, natural, effective and non-intrusive healing practice. A Reiki treatment involves the practitioner placing their hands in a sequence of hand positions on the body. The most common immediate response is deep relaxation.

Resonance Repatterning
The Resonance Repatterning system gives you the tools to change your resonance so you naturally and easily spiral up to a higher energy state of well being and coherence. Many ancient healing traditions are based upon these energy/frequency principles, including Chinese Acupuncture and Ayurvedic medicine, both of which are integrated into the Resonance Repatterning system. The Resonance Repatterning system also uses 21st Century technologies from new physics, applied kinesiology and energy psychology. Once you learn how to transform your mental-emotional blueprint, you can experience improvement in your health, energy level, self-confidence and your ability to go into action to achieve your goals and your vision.

Rosen Method
There are two streams to Rosen Method – movement and bodywork. Rosen Movement classes are simple physical therapy movements set to music which promote increased circulation, ease of breathing, flexibility, joint lubrication, body awareness, balance, coordination and overall ease of movement.
A Rosen Method Bodywork session is set up like a massage and the therapist uses gentle touch and talking to help the client become aware of the connection between our body, our mind and our feelings. It can relieve physical and emotional stress in our lives. Through this process we can unravel old habits and experience more freedom in our bodies and our lives.

Scenar Therapy
SCENAR is an acronym for Self Controlled Energo Neuro Adaptive Regulator. It is a reflex biofeedback device involving no drugs and no surgery, only light touch to the body with an electrical energy corresponding to the body's own signals. The SCENAR is a hand held bio-controlled electro-impulse therapy ideal for pain control in various functional and pathologic processes and helps to correct them by stimulating the body's own healing reserves. It is entirely non-invasive. Tests in Russia have since shown the device to be effective in managing pain in 80% of cases.

SHIATSU
Shiatsu is a massage technique which involves stimulating or relaxing the acupuncture points and energy pathways (meridians). The word shiatsu means 'finger pressure' in Japanese. It is very useful for relieving muscular tension, stress, aches, pains, stiffness, digestive disorders and insomnia.

Spiritual Healing
Spiritual Healing is a naturally pure and gentle form of healing and has the ability to heal the heart, body and deep seated mind states.

Tai Chi
In Tai Chi, slow flowing movements that follow a set pattern, allow participants to harmonise mind, body and spirit and become more deeply centered in themselves. Tai Chi is often linked with martial arts but it is more like moving meditation. The emphasis is not on strength or exertion but on relaxation, concentration and balance, along with correct breathing. After much practice, the participant can become one with the movements, so they are actually happening through them. Tai Chi is excellent for those who have high blood pressure and heart complaints, tension and anxiety, as it promotes and maintains good health both physically and mentally.

Tibetan Pulsing
Tibetan Pulsing is an ancient form of healing and transformation. The aim is to melt blockages in the nervous system, dissolve dis-ease and restore the body's natural energy flow. Working through the body, we can heal not only the physical but also the emotional and mental levels. In this process, stress is released and a feeling of well-being, freedom and vitality arises. Through integration on all these levels, spiritual healing becomes possible.

Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) originated in China over 3,500 years ago, making it a truly ancient way of healing. Different methods are used during treatment to bring the body to balance. These include: acupuncture which works on the meridians (ear & body), cupping which is used to move blood & qi (energy) and to remove stagnations, and moxibustion which involves lighting a mugwort herbal stick and using it as a warming treatment. Diet therapy and herbal formulas are also considered. TCM treats most disease and illness and can also be used as a preventative measure.

Transpersonal Counseling/Therapy

It is the joining of therapeutic theory, intuition, spirituality and even mystic ways of being. Transpersonal therapy works on the basic assumption that physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual growth are interrelated and must therefore be integrated into an holistic form of therapy incorporating all facets of the person's being. Therapy may include Yoga, Meditation, Zen Buddhism, and mystical ways of being and helps to develop a philosophy of life, sense and meaning.

Watsu
Watsu is an extremely gentle form of therapeutic massage conducted in warm water. It combines elements of massage, joint mobilisation, shiatsu, muscle stretching and dance. It was developed in the U.S by Harold Dull, director of the Harbin School of Shiatsu and Massage and applies the principles of the Zen Shiatsu while floating people in warm water. The warm water is associated with the body’s deepest state of waking relaxation and makes an ideal medium for applying the stretches. The support of water takes weight off the vertebrae and allows the spine to be moved in ways impossible on land. Watsu® has been shown to relieve pain, release tension and reduce stress. It increases the body’s range of motion, improves circulation and radiates warmth, promoting deep relaxation and well being.

Wu Tao - Dance
Wu Tao or The Dancing Way, is a dance-based therapy that balances and harmonises the flow of Qi (life-force energy in the body). It has its foundations in Oriental Medicine, and is a system of healing, with a wholistic philosophy and practice, that restores balance to the person on all levels. The main form of Wu Tao is a series of dances that balance the Qi. This is achieved by activating and stretching the channels (called meridians), which are the pathways through which the Qi energy flows. Each dance, (there are 5) works on balancing two meridians, which belong to a particular element (e.g. Kidney / Bladder Meridians belong to the Water element). The dances are learned and then performed to beautiful melodic music which corresponds with the particular energy and quality of the element for which it is used. The end result is an experience of beauty, harmony and balance, physically, energetically and mentally, during and after performing the dances.

Yoga
The word 'Yoga' means to join/unite/bind and balance the opposite energies of male and female. Yoga is a science of living which gives you the means to bring harmony to body, mind and soul. It is not a religion and is for everyone. It incorporates exercise, breathing, relaxation and meditation to heighten self awareness and bring balance to your being.

ZPoint Process
The ZPoint Process is a simple yet highly effective meditative healing technique. ZPoint works on a global level to permanently release the deeply unconscious patterns of thought that cause difficult relationships, trauma, difficult situations or circumstances. The process gently and effortlessly helps you to let go of all the uncomfortable or painful feelings associated with these.
